benchmarks/iozone - The NetBSD Packages Collection

Benchmark for file read and write speed

This test writes a X MEGABYTE sequential file in Y byte chunks, then
rewinds it  and reads it back.  [The size of the file should be
big enough to factor out the effect of any disk cache.]

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
