An RSS/Atom parser library RSS (0.9/1.0, 0.91..2.0) and Atom (0.3 and 1.0) feeds are supported. syndication offers a unified, format-agnostic view on the parsed feed, so that the using application does not need to distinguish between feed formats.
Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
