Most programs that use the lib will look first in the directory
specified by the environment variable T1LIB_CONFIG_DIR, and then
/usr/pkg/share/t1lib. However, you *must* set T1LIB_CONFIG_DIR
to run the "xglyph" test X client. E.g, for Bourne shells:
 ``T1LIB_CONFIG_DIR=/usr/pkg/share/t1lib xglyph &''

The complete documentation requires LaTeX to build. If you have
the print/teTeX package (or some other "tex"),
``cd /usr/pkg/share/doc/t1lib; make'' to build t1lib_doc.dvi.

Upgrading from Xpdf 3.02 (and earlier)
--------------------------------------

The font configuration system has been changed.  Previous versions
used mostly separate commands to configure fonts for display and for
PostScript output.  As of 3.03, configuration options that make sense
for both display and PS output have been unified.

The following xpdfrc commands have been removed:
* displayFontT1, displayFontTT: replaced with fontFile
* displayNamedCIDFontT1, displayNamedCIDFontTT: replaced with fontFile
* displayCIDFontT1, displayCIDFontTT: replaced with fontFileCC
* psFont: replaced with psResidentFont
* psNamedFont16: replaced with psResidentFont16
* psFont16: replaced with psResidentFontCC
